This June Jani-King of New Brunswick and PEI went Red in support of Jani-King’s National Charity of Choice – The Canadian Red Cross.
This spring, New Brunswick experienced the full power and reach of the Canadian Red Cross as thousands of homes were impacted by floodwaters. Volunteers and staff dedicated their time and resources to helping these families find temporary housing, food, and assisted in helping to recover what was lost.
The incredible display of kindness and support given by the Red Cross inspired Jani-King of New Brunswick/PEI to do something a little different this June.
On June 20th, the Regional Office Team along with Franchisee Josh Harrigan, hosted a BBQ outside of the Saint John Canadian Red Cross call centre on Loch Lomond Rd. As a gesture of gratitude, they invited all the staff and volunteers on site that day to lunch on them. They also were selling BBQ’d goods to others for a donation amount – with 100% of proceeds going to the Red Cross. That day they raised $125. Though this seems like a small sum, this can make a big difference for a Canadian in need.
As proud supporters of the Canadian Red Cross, Jani-King New Brunswick/PEI looks forward to hosting similar events in the future, and raising more funds for the crucial work of this organization.
This year, all donations received through our 2018 Red Cross campaign will be matched by the Jani-King Canada head office up to a maximum donation of $40,000.
