The 2024 Leadership Summit brought together Jani-King’s regional owners from across the country for an inspiring and collaborative two-day event. Hosted in Austin, Texas, this year’s summit provided a platform for sharing insights, discussing strategy, and celebrating the growth and success of the Jani-King franchise network.
The event, organized by Jani-King Canada’s national office, featured a series of presentations, roundtable discussions, and workshops, all aimed at strengthening leadership and aligning regional teams with a national vision.
Dennis and Christine Shortt, Regional Owners of Jani-King Austin welcomed the team to Austin and shared their story of market growth – inspiring the group to think outside the box as they worked together on growth opportunities and new ideas for the system in Canada.
Discussions on the first day covered topics such as national partnerships, growth in national and multi-regional accounts, and contract sales. The national office also presented an in-depth review of the marketing program designed to support local offices in enhancing brand visibility and attracting new business. The day concluded with a marketing think tank. The breakout session encouraged regional owners to collaborate, brainstorming new ways to strengthen community involvement and create more opportunities for growth within their regions.
On day two, the team was joined by Dr. Jill Birch to build on the leadership workshop she delivered at the 2023 National Meeting. This year, Dr. Birch delivered an insightful session to assist regions in building strategic master plans for 2025 and beyond.
One of the most valuable aspects of the summit was the opportunity for regional owners to network with peers from other regions. From casual conversations during coffee breaks to structured networking sessions, attendees left with stronger connections and a renewed sense of community within the Jani-King network.
As the summit wrapped up, it was clear that Jani-King’s leadership is ready to take on the challenges of 2024 and beyond. The ideas and strategies shared over these two days will no doubt fuel our continued success, as regional owners return to their offices with new tools, insights, and inspiration to lead their teams to greater heights.
